God's Work at Work
All the small things come together to make sense in the end. Things that had seemingly no purpose in the beginning, turned out to solve the problem. God does this in our lives also. He may give us something that we have no use for right now, but later will realize how it fits into His perfect plan. And yet we doubted. What's that?
In Mark 14:32-42, Jesus is in the Garden of Gethsemane, He is about to be arrested and crucified and is questioning God's will. So He goes to the garden to be alone and pray. He wants to be sure that God knows what He is doing. He knows that God's plan will be fulfilled. He prays, "Abba, Father, everything is possible for you. Take this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." If that didn't make sense to you, replace the word "will" with "desires/wishes/hopes".
Jesus knew that it was God's plan that was going to be fulfilled, not His. Yes, they were the same being, but Jesus was a human, and God's will, comes above our's. Jesus knew that, and wanted to teach us that. In Matthew 6:25-27, "There I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds in the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your Heavenly Father feeds them."Are you not much more valueable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? WHO OF YOU BY WORRYING CAN ADD A SINGLE HOUR TO YOUR LIFE?"
We don't need to worry in our lives. We all do it. You know you do, be about work, school, or even church activities. We all worry about things in our lives that we truly have no control over. So stop it. Don't deal with it. "Let go and Let God." It's that simple, we can't control anything down here. Not even our hair. But there is hope, God has plans for us. "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you, not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." (Jeremiah 29:11)
